B i o g r a p h y
Mike Freedman is a composer, guitarist/pianist and composer based out of Toronto, Ontario. Mike received formal training through the Royal Conservatory of Music and graduated from Berklee College of Music (cum laude) with a degree in film scoring in 1990. Mike has scored several feature films, as well as many short films, which have played at international and local film festivals.
Mike is involved in producing albums, both his own and other artists. Mike has also produced and recorded two CD’s of his own material as a singer/songwriter and three CD's of instrumental guitar music. Mike has had his songs placed in TV and film, including the show, Dawson’s Creek.

As a performer, Mike has played at international jazz festivals, as well as local clubs in the G.T.A. His wide musical palette has allowed him to play in most musical situations, varying from classical and jazz, to rock, pop and blues.

As a teacher, Mike is extremely patient and encouraging with students. Students excel and look forward to attending Mike's classes. Mike uses a structured learning approach, while still incorporating a sense of fun and adventure in the lessons. Mike has over 20 years of private and group lesson experience, both in the public and private school systems.
